Remembering Archbishop Gregory’s Years In Atlanta
Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory had been the Atlanta archbishop since his installation on January 17, 2005. That all changed on April 4, 2019 when Pope Francis officially appointed Archbishop Gregory the Archdiocese of Washington’s seventh archbishop. Archbishop Gregory will depart Atlanta on May 3, and he will be installed at the District of Columbia’s St. Matthew Cathedral on Tuesday, May 21.
